Rates & Insurance

Therapy Rates

Psychotherapy (50-55 min) $225

Initial Diagnostic Evaluation (90 min) $300

Appointment Frequency

The type of therapy I practice requires a minimum of once per week sessions, usually held at the same time and day every week. This structure promotes a safe and predictable therapeutic frame to facilitate psychological growth and concrete change. Clients may be seen more intensively as clinically appropriate and scheduling permits. Clients who meet their therapy goals may be seen less frequently for maintenance and supportive counseling as scheduling allows.

Payment Methods

Payment is due at the time of service. All major credit or debit cards and HSA accounts are accepted.

Insurance

In-Network Insurance

I am in network with Gold Coast Health Plan, a Ventura County insurance.

Out-of-Network Insurance & Superbills

I do not bill any insurance other than Gold Coast Health Plan. Most PPO insurance with out-of-network benefits will reimburse a significant portion of the therapy fee. I often see reimbursement rates up to 80% of the cost. Check with member services for your specific plan to learn more about their terms. It may be helpful to inquire about the out-of-network reimbursement rates for the following billing codes used in my practice: 90791, 90837, 90834, 90846, and 90847. You would pay the fee at the time of service and the reimbursement check from your insurance would be mailed directly to you.

Private Payment

The session fee is due at the time of service and billed to your card on file. All major credit cards are accepted.

Office Policies

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment time is held for you on a standing weekly basis. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please allow a minimum of 48 hours notice (2 business days). Cancellations outside of this window will be charged the full session fee. Further details on attendance are provided during the onboarding process.

Communication

For scheduling issues, you may contact me by phone, text, or email. I will do my best to respond within 1 business day. For clinical questions or sensitive concerns, please contact me by phone and we can discuss the matter further in session. If you are in crisis or an emergency, please call 911 or go to the Emergency Room.

California Clients & Telehealth

Your Location

I am licensed to practice psychotherapy in the state of California. Due to licensing laws, I exclusively work with clients who are physically present in California at the time of our session. This policy includes existing clients who may be traveling or who move out of state to attend college.

Telehealth Requirements

I offer secure telehealth sessions via Zoom for clients throughout California. Many clients choose a mix of in-person and virtual sessions.

If you are doing online therapy with me, you will need reliable WiFi, privacy, and to be free from distractions. For safety and privacy purposes, I cannot see clients who are in a moving car or who are in a parked car with others present. Additional telehealth policies will be provided in the onboarding process.

Good Faith Estimate

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
